Privacy Policy

This page explains how DriftXStance handles personal data on its website, in participant accounts, when reviewing event applications and when sending optional newsletters.

1. Who is responsible

2. Participant accounts and applications

Participant accounts contain your name, email address, telephone number and optional social media handle. Drivers can save multiple vehicles with their make, model, year, engine, modifications, a message and images. Media applicants can submit a portfolio. We process these details to review applications, organise the event and contact you about your participation.

Each submitted vehicle application keeps a copy of the details and files you submitted at that time. Changes to a garage vehicle do not change an earlier application. You can see your own submitted details and status in your account. Authorised organisers can review applications and add private internal notes; these notes are not displayed in participant accounts.

Uploaded files are stored in private database tables and provided through an access-controlled download endpoint. They are not placed in the public media library. Vehicle images total up to 5 MB per vehicle. Larger image collections can be shared using an external link in the application message. If you provide an external link, the service hosting it has its own privacy practices.

Account verification and application receipt, acceptance and rejection messages are service emails. They do not sign you up for marketing. Login cookies, temporary form notices and temporary abuse-prevention records support the secure use of the portal. Passwords use WordPress password hashing. Verification links expire and confirm the account email address.

3. Public event lineup

After the organising team releases the lineup, accepted Drifter and Showcar vehicle applications for the current event can appear on the public lineup page. Public fields are the submitted vehicle make, model, year, engine and processed vehicle photographs. Your name, email address, telephone number, application message, portfolio, internal notes and unsuccessful applications are not included in that public listing.

The organising team can release the lineup immediately or choose a future release time. Acceptance shown in your account does not mean that the public lineup has been released. Public photographs can be viewed and copied by visitors while published. Contact the team if a published vehicle image or detail needs correction or removal.

4. Website operation

Our website runs on WordPress. The hosting provider processes technical requests required to deliver and protect the website. Authentication cookies are used for participants and organisers who sign in. Event photographs and design assets are served from this website. Outgoing mail is passed to the website’s configured mail service.

5. Optional newsletter

You can separately subscribe to announcements about the event date and location, Early Bird tickets and application openings. Signup requires your email address, a separate consent choice and confirmation through an email link before the subscription becomes active. Applications and account creation do not subscribe you.

Subscriptions, consent records, campaign content and outgoing message records are managed in this WordPress website. The newsletter uses the website’s configured mail service. You can unsubscribe through the link in a newsletter or by contacting faithless.at@icloud.com. Unsubscribing prevents future marketing sends; it does not prevent essential messages about your account or applications.

6. Storage and service providers

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected and applicable retention obligations. Information necessary for website hosting, newsletter delivery or event organisation may be processed by the service providers we use for those purposes. We do not sell personal data.

7. Your rights and questions

You can contact us to request access to your personal data, correction or deletion, or to raise a question about its use.
